I am reliably informed I showed no aversion to stinky cheeses as an infant. That may explain why I don’t find of this issue’s items revolting, repellent, repulsive, nauseating, unpalatable, unappetising, uninviting or unsavoury.
A good reminder from Maya.land that Mailchimp newsletters have a secret RSS feed, which reminded me to add two more Substack newsletters to my feed reader, a much simpler process by far.
It was nice to be reminded that 20 years ago today I received my portion of what was claimed then to be a 100-year-old sourdough starter from Tuscany. It’s still going strong, as is my own starter, at least 40 years old.
@help @manton I have twice tried to update micro.blog on my Mac, and twice it has stalled on extracting the update. So I quit and everything is fine.
Reluctantly, I use What’s App to communicate with a few friends and family who really do not want to change their ways. My name and number are thus available to anyone who wants to message me, and usually I am able to find another way to reply and suggest that they use Signal or plain ol’email. That scenario poayed out perfectly earlier this week. Today, Instagram recommended I follow the person involved. And that is why I am reluctant.
