@jmac That switch in perception from “egocentric default” to “one temporary and nameless wave of matter and energy bobbing along the surface of a planet, rolling and colliding for a little while among fellow accidents” is definitely something I experience.

@trovster I probably will not be posting for the IndieWeb Movie Club, but I did recently see the newly restored Modern Times in a cinema and it was a glorious experience. The image and soundtrack are wonderfully clear and the whole film is a joy. If you can find it, see it.

@thedimpause Very interesting to see all your monochrome shots of Venice. In camera, I presume. Inspiring me to think again on my next visit about how to record it. I’ve almost given up on casual snaps because I’ve snapped almost everything by now.
